KVMC Fees Policy 2024

KVMC is pleased to offer bulk billed GP services to all patients during weekdays, Monday to Friday, 8am - 7pm. 

 

From 1st January 2024, on Saturdays and Sundays, all patients who are under 16 years, over 65 years or hold a valid pensioner or healthcare card will continue to be bulk billed at KVMC. For patients who do not fall into this criteria (under 16 years, over 65 years or have a pensioner or healthcare card), full payment will be required at the time of consultation. We accept credit, debit and EFTPOS payments. As a service to our patients, we offer on-the-spot Medicare rebate processing, where the rebate amount will be directly refunded into your nominated bank account linked to your Medicare details.

 

Our Cancellation Policy:

For appointments with our Allied Health professionals, please note that ALL cancellations within 24 hours incur a cancellation fee of $20. 

 

Billing Principles:

Our practice is a Medicare Bulk Billing practice. Full payment is required at the time of consultation for patients without a Medicare card. We accept Eftpos, Mastercard and Visa payments. 

KVMC provides bulk billed GP services for all patients during weekdays (Monday to Friday) 8am-7pm and Saturdays 8am-1pm. On Satur

 

For Workers Compensation appointments, kindly note that unless a claim number is provided by the patient, consultations related to work related injuries will incur a fee(s) to be paid by the patient at the time of consultation. 

 

Pre-employment medicals incur a fee(s) to be paid by the patient at the time of consultation.  

 

Results, Referrals and Script Renewals

Our practice policy states that NO results are given over the phone, nor will our receptionists avail requests for referrals or script renewals. In order to obtain any of the above, a follow up appointment MUST be made with your doctor.

 

Please allow several days for routine pathology results, and 24 hours for urgent tests, to be processed. 

 

Interpreter Services

If you or your family require an interpreter, we are more than happy to arrange this for you. Kindly inform us of your need when you call us to schedule your appointment. Alternatively, you can contact the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450 directly.

 

Reminder system:

We implement a complementary reminder system for preventative health services and courtesy calls - you can expect to receive a reminder the day before your scheduled appointment. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please advise our reception staff.

Contacting your doctor:

We encourage our patients to schedule appointments with your doctor, where every endeavour will be made to accomodate your preferred time and general practitioner. Online bookings are now available through our website at: www.kvmedcentre.com.au

 

Appointments are usually booked at 15 minute intervals. If a longer consultation is required, please inform our reception staff. Emergencies will be given priority, where our warm reception staff will attempt to contact you in the event of unforeseen delay.

 

For certain circumstances, patients may leave a phone message where the doctor will return the call if appropriate. Alternatively, a practice staff member may call to advise you if the doctor wishes you to book an appointment. Urgent calls will be put through to your doctor wherever possible.

 

Home Visits:

Our Doctors offer bulk-billed home visits and nursing home visits to our regular patients who are unable to attend the practice due to acute illness, immobility or lack of transportation.  Home visits are available to patients within a 5km radius of Kellyville Village Medical Centre. Eligibility for home visits will be determined by the practice.

 

Management of Personal Health information and Privacy:

All patient consultation and medical records are kept strictly confidential and are not disclosed to any third party without your written authorisation. Violence Policy:

Kellyville Village Medical Centre upholds a ZERO tolerance policy to violence. We take any threatening, abusive or violent behaviour against any of our staff or patients seriously. If an individual is violent or abusive, they will be warned to STOP their behaviour. If they persist, we may exercise our right to take action, have them removed from the practice and from our database.
