Cancellation Policy:
When booking or confirming appointments with our Allied health professionals, please note that ALL cancellations within 24 hours WILL incur a cancellation fee of $20.
Billing Principles:
Our practice is a Medicare Bulk billing practice. Patients without a Medicare card will be required to pay a fee. Payment is expected at the time of consultation, as we have facilities for Eftpos, Mastercard and Visa.
Unless claim number is provided by patient, work related injury consults/treatment incur fee(s) to be paid by patient at the time of consultation.
Pre-employment medicals incur fee(s) to be paid by patient at the time of consultation.
Non-Medicare Consultation Fees
Results, Referrals and Script Renewals
Our practice policy is that NO results are given over the phone, nor will our receptionists be taking any requests for referrals or script renewals. In order to obtain any of the above, a follow up appointment MUST be made with your GP.
Please allow several days for routine pathology results, and 24 hours for Urgent tests, to be processed. Due to the high number of results and the demand on our Doctor?s time, patients will only be contacted if results require further action.
Interpreter Services
If you or your family require an interpreter, one can be organised for you. Please let us know when you ring to make your appointment. Alternatively, you can contact the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450 directly.
Reminder system:
Our practice is committed to providing continuing and preventative care. We operate a reminder system for preventative health services, as well as courtesy calls, the day before your appointment to remind our patients.
If you do not wish to be part of this system, please advise reception staff.
We would appreciate you contacting us earlier, if you need to cancel an appointment, as this allows us the opportunity to re-schedule for other patients.

Contacting your doctor:
Patients are encouraged to make an appointment to speak with their doctor. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP. ON-LINE BOOKINGS are now available through our website: www.kvmedcentre.com.au
Appointments are usually made at 15 minute intervals. If a longer consultation is required, please inform reception. Emergencies will be given priority, and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay.
For certain circumstances, patients may leave a phone message, and where appropriate the doctor will return the call. Alternatively, a practice staff member may call to advise you, if the doctor wishes to see you via appointment. Urgent calls will be put through to your doctor wherever possible.
Home Visits:
Our Doctors are able to offer bulk-billed home visits and nursing home visits, to regular patients of our practice, who are unable to attend the practice for reasons of acute illness, immobility, and lack of transportation. Home visits are available to patients within a 5km radius of Kellyville Village Medical Centre. Eligibility for home visits will be determined by the practice.
Management of Personal Health information and Privacy:
KVMC and its employees are committed to your privacy and the confidentiality of your medical information. All patient consultation and medical records are kept strictly confidential and therefore not disclosed to any outside party without your written authorisation. Policies and procedures of KVMC have been designed in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) of the Privacy Act 1988, available at www.privacy.gov.au/health
Violence Policy:
KVMC operates a ZERO tolerance Policy with regard to violence. We take seriously any threatening, abusive or violent behaviour against any of our staff or patients.
If a patient is violent or abusive, they will be warned to STOP their behaviour. If they persist, we may exercise our right to take action and have them removed from the practice, and from our database.
